LIQUOR IN AUSTRALIA.
THE DRINK BILL. SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE. (Received Wednesday, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Government Statistician’s figures show that the drink bill in New South Wales for the past year amounted to £11,670,000, equal to £5 3s 7d per head of population, being an increase of £3*21,000, or lid per head of population as compared with the, preceding year. —‘(P.A.)
