SIX PEOPLE KILLED.
A MOTOR FATALITY. HARROWING SCENES. . LONDON, Tuesday. A char-a-banc, bringing a party of .14 back from Woburn Sands to the Bletchley, crashed into the railway gates and overturned. The express from Cambridge almost simultaneously dashed into the wreckage. The night was dark, but without fog and the roads slippery. Harrowing scenes followed as the injured were extricated. Doctors rendered first aid in the guard’s van en route to Bedford. Three men and three women were killed and so mutilated as to be unrecognisable. A child was picked up a few inches from the railway metals. —Aus. and N,Z. Cable Assn.
