The condition of the'bulk of the cattle was good, although one or two lots of young cattle were showing tho effects of. the backward season. Competition was quite up to expectations, the bulk of the entry being quitted at the following prices:—4-vear PA. bullocks £9 3s, 4-year Hereford bullocks £S ss, 3-year steers £7 to £7 ss, 2-year steers £4 14s to £5 10s, yearling steers’ £2 17s to £3 15s, fat cows £8 10s to £G Is, forward cows £4 3s to £4 7s.
