SHOCKING ACCIDENT.
RAILWAY PORTER RUN OVER. E. Solomon, a railway porter at the Taihape station, met with a bad. accident on Saturday night, whereby ha lost both legs, one at the thigh and the other at the knee. Solomon had, passed through a line of trucks wh<!n he was knocked down, by a moving guard’s 'van, which ran. over his leg 9. ' Last evening he was reported to be in a very critical condition. •••. ' He has been married foT only 'four months.
