THROWN FROM A GIG.

As a result of a gig capsizing at Waiwera, P. Birmingham, a well-known resident of Brown’s Bay, who was 'returning from a shooting expedition at Matakana, was thrown out and killed.

Peculiar circumstances surround the dbath of Frederick Birmingham, who was found beneath his gig at Waiwera. . There were few marks on the body, which was lying face downwards on some rubbish. Apparently the horse had backed over the bank and capsized the gig, Birmingham was stunned by the fall and suffocated in the rubbish.
