METHODIST CHURCH.
YOUNG PEOPLE’S SOCIAL.
The young people of the Methodist Church held a very enjoyable social in the schoolroom last evening. The proceeds arc their contribution to the garden party to be held in the parsonage* grounds next Saturday afternoon. Mr 11. Marchant introduced, quite a. number of new games, and with solos from Miss Carter and Mr Walters, and refreshments provided by the young ladies, a good time was experienced. Occasion was taken to bid farewell to Mr Marchant, who is leaving Masterton for Wellington on Saturday. Rev. Wm. Beckett and Mr Bert Rowlands referred to the good social qualities of the departing guest, and wished him every success in his new business and church relationships. GARDEN PARTY.
The garden party promoted by" the Ladies’ Guild promises to be a great success. In addition to other attractions there will be a string band in attendance, and many items of special interest will be introduced.
