He advised her not to see another doctor, as that would mean an operation, and said she might as well cut her throat. She did not have treatment from Alackenzie. Other doctors she consulted told her she had not eanc-er.

Dr. Grant, in evidence, said there was no chance of this woman’s trouble being cancer.

I)r. Abbot said lie examined the woman and found not the slightest suggestion of caneer. Her organs were absolutely normal. ■ EAR TROUBLE. A woman, aged 81, stated in evidence that she went to see Mackenzie about hc-r car. .Mackenzie said it was caueer. She had one treatment. “I went to l)r. Hardie Neil later,” she added, • and he soon cured it. But I forget how long it took.” The daughter of the previous witness declared that when Mackenzie looked inside the ear he said: ‘‘What am I up against/ I will have to take a drop of blood from the ear.”' The next day he said she had cancer in her ears, but lie could cure her in about a fortnight with treatment at two guineas per day. Witness and her mother decided not to go back. They went to Dr. Kenneth Mackenzie, and then Dr. Ilardie Neil the day after going to Mackenzie. After a fortnight’s treatment by Dr. Ilardie'Neil, the ears were all right.

“SPOILT HIS SHIRT.” The next witness was a labourer, who said he went to /Mackenzie on March Pith, 1923, and after an examination, was told by Mackenzie that he had an inherited disease which would turn to cancer. He said he could cure it in 21 days by taking treatment. “He did not give me any time to decide whether I would take his treatment before lie called in a. nurse and told her to cure mens quickly as possible,”' said witness. He charged him £2 2s. The treatment started the next day. The nurse painted witness's throat “with red material which spoilt his shirt.” “I had to pay another guinea,” said witness. After the third day he did not return to Mackenzie. He had not recovered.

To Mr Dickson: 1 have had two operations since I went to Mackenzie. It it not better yet. Mackenzie told me it would turn into cancer if I did not take his treatment.
