DOMINION AWARD DENIED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. On the application of the New Zealand Shop Assistants’ Industrial Association of Workers a Conciliation sitting has been arranged for January 30th for the purpose of discussing proposals for a Dominion award, covering shop-workers in the boot, hardware, stationery, fancy goods, furniture and soft goods trades. Detailed proposals ,will be filed on December 12th. It is understood that the present district awards are practically the same and that .employers who have no Dominion organisation will fall m with the proposal for uniform conditions throughout the Dominion. Over 5000 employers in all parts ot the country are being cited in the Dominion application.
