The cattle (all dairy sorts) met with fairly keen competition, especially anything showing the Jersey, and we have to report a good clearance at the following prices:—Cattle: 225 sold Backward springing heifers £4 10s, £o to £o os, aged springing cows £3 10s to £4; --year heifers r.w.b. £4 10s to £0 6s; yearling heifers £2 10s, £3, £4, to £6 ss; forward .rrade Jerseys and forward cows £3 -s 6d; store cows 20s, 30s to £- os; bn Us £3 to £4 10s; aged ewes with lamb 3_s, ‘.tor. owe. Dalgetv and Co.,' Ltd., and the W.F.- (’ V Ltd., in conjunction, report on the sale of Aberdeen Angus bulls at the Columba road yards yesterday, on account of Mr H. T. Hume:— The offering came forward m good condition, and the quality was much better than anticipated. The competi tion for the best bulls was good, prices ranging from 20gns to Signs. A fan number. of sales were made at lOgns to I6gns, the sale being held rather late in the season to suit some purchasers. It is the vendor’s intention to make this an annual fixture and to hold it at an earlier date next year. Prices. —Six 2-vear olds 16gns to ol rrrs to R. T.
