FATALITY AVERTED.

GIRL’S PROMPT ACTION.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday.

The prompt alarm given by a little girl to the wife of the custodian of the municipal baths prevented a drowning accident at the public baths tonight. The little girl saw an elder girl lying at the bottom of the baths. The custodian, named Olds, applied artificial respiration, and the girl was brought round after three minutes, and was able to go home in a taxi. Many people were in the baths at the time.
