DIVORCE IN AMERICA.
LAST YEAR’S RECORD. WASHINGTON, Thursday. That there was one divorce to every 7.6 marriages in the United States last year is disclosed by a report of th& Census Department, the first such report since 1916, when there was one divorce to 9.8 marriages. Last year there were more divorces, and about one-fifth fewer marriages per 100,000 of the population than iir 1916.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
