Mr Dudley Feast, of the Carterton branch of the Bank of New South Wales, has received notice of a (transfer, and will be leaving after Easter. The death occurred at the Taihape Hospital on the 14th inst. of Mr Andrew Mutrie, brother of Mr Alex. Mutrie, of Masterton. Deceased w-as 68 years of age. Mr James Barr, the novelist, is dead* reports a London cablegram. He was born in Ontario, Canada, in 1862, and from the age of 16 to 21 was a newspaper man in America. In doing so his arm came in close contact with an iron fence, and was badly lacerated from the wrist. The wounds neeessi-. tated over 20 stitches being put in. Mrs. Pankliurst is now in Toronto, where she hol(ls a public position as teacher of hygiene. Her Christabel also is in Toronto, where" she is an Evangelical lecturer, giving addresses on the inspiration of the Bible and the interpretation of prophecy. The death took place at the Masterton Hospital yesterday afternoon of Mr William Bridge, an old and respected resident of Carterton. Deceased had been ailing for some time. During the week he developed serious symptoms and was sent to the hospital for treatment. He leaves a widow and family ■ of four. •I At St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, M Pahiatua, on Wednesday afternoon,, the. marriage was solemnised qf Miss Elizabeth Tulloch, only daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Tulloch, of “Hilly Park,” Pah- ' iatua, and Mr Edward A.- Turner, of the Anglo-Egyptian bank, Khartoum, son of Mr and Mrs H. C. Turner, Brarmg floi, Ashburton. The bride was ed by two small bridesmaids. Miss Joan Fraser (Oarnaru) and Miss Joan Eccleton. Mr A. H. Tulloch (brother of the. bride) attended the bridegroom as best man.
