PEACE PROPOSALS. MUNSTER REBELS AMENABLE. Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyrigh" LONDON, Thursday. Barry, the rebel Commandant-General in Munster, has agreed to submit to the rebel executive proposals made by the Archbishop of Cashel for the immediate cessation of hostilities and surender of arms in Munster.
The rebels have been long disposed towards peace, but hitherto have been over-ruled by rebels in Dublin, the xnidlandcrs and westerners. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. REBELS KILLED. LONDON, Thursday. Free State troops marching along the Tralee-Killorghu road, encountered a stone barricade which was discovered to have mines, with a trigger release. The officer in charge returned to Tralee, brought out some rebel prisoners, and ordered them to remove the barricade. The mine exploded, killing eight prisoners, and wounding two officers. A similar explosion occurred at Counteesbridge, four prisoners being killed. —Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. HEAVY FIGHTING. (Received Friday, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, Thursday. The heaviest lighting since the summer is in progress in the Kerry Hills. Four hundred Irregulars fought a rearguard action with Free Staters entrenched in the hillside, where they were relieved by an armoured car. The casualties in Kerry since Monday have been eight Free Staters and 21 rebels killed and many wounded. — Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
