MISSING FINANCIER.
THE SEARCH FOR BEVAN. LONDON, Saturday. Despite a strict watch at Italian ports, the police have failed to find any trace of Bevan, the missing chairman of the London City Equitable Insurance Company, since the passport was presented at the British Consulate at Naples'. It is possible that he is hiding in Italy, but the police believe he has escaped across the Adriatic by a fishing boat to Greece, from which country there is no extradition. —Aus. and N.Z.
