POSTPONED REFERENDUM. AN EXAMPLE OF LAWLESSNESS. (Received Wednesday, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A Prohibition rally at the Town Hall passed a resolution of emphatic protest against the postponement of the referendum, declaring that the action was unconstitutional and undemocratic, and an example of lawlessness to be strongly condemned. A. feature of the demonstration was the reading by the. chairman of a letter from Mr. Holman (ex-Premier) wishing the meeting success. Mr. Holman gave his support to the prohibitionists and condemned a Government which Pouted the law. —Press Assn.
