PUKEMIRO DISPUTE.
latest development. No further developments have occurred in the dispute between the Mine Owners’ Association and the Pukeuiiro miners regarding the unexpected turn of events on Monday, apart from an indication that the matter will be a<min taken up by the Federation. The secretary of the Federation, Mr J. Arbuckle, stated yesterday that it had been decided to fight on until the Pukemiro Union obtains a satisfactoiy solution of the difficulty. The dispute now would probably be taken out ol the hands of the union and dealt with, by the Federation. In that ease the settlement would have to be effected through the Federation. , Mr W. Pryor, secretary of tho Mine Owners’ Association, said, when approached' on the subject, that the agreement made by the Mine Owners’ Association and Mr Hally, in accordance with the authority given to Mr Hally by the union, would be insisted on by the Mine Owners’ Association.
