-STRONG RESOLUTION OF PROTEST
TAIHAPE, This Hay. A very large meeting of the Farmers’ Union and Farmers’ Co-operative. Distributing Company, held- at Tailiape yesterday, unanimously carried the fol-lowing-resolution:—
* sTliat this meeting of farmers views with alarm the efforts being made to urge the Government to
grant, a meat trading license in New Zealand to Armour and Co., and would strongly urge the Government to da all within its power to keep combines such as the meat trust from operating' in New Zealand. ” ‘
