At the tallow auctions 1608 casks were offered, but no bids were received. y EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Stock Department,, report on their usual weekly Eketaliuna sale, held yesterday: A varding was submitted of 1400 sheep and a'small yarding of cattle, also draught horses, harness, drays, etc., on account of Mr J. Coffey. Bidding was slack for all stock, but with the exception of three small pens of sheep all the entries changed hands at prices equal to late rates. We quote: Twotooth wethers, 29s 6d, 23s 7d; 2-tooth ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 21s; 4 and 5-year ewes in lamb to Southdown rams, 19s; eniptv ewes, 22s 9d, 21s 9d, 20s sd, 39s 2d, 15s Id; cull ewes, 9s, 7s 10d; m.s. lambs, ISs 6d, 11s, 10s; cows in calf, £3 7s 6d; draught horses, £25 £25, £2O 10s; gig horse, £ll. Harness. etc., brought satisfactory prices. ... — f PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. The N.Z. L. and M.A. Co., Ltd., re-' port on their Pahiatua sale held on Tuesday: —We had a fair entry of sheep and a small entry of dairy cattle. Hoggets sold well. Ewes were hard to quit and cattle were almost unsaleable. We quote: 2 and 4-to'oth weters, 295; fair Jambs 18s 2d, small lambs Bs. PIASTER-TON STOCK SALE. The N.Z. L. and ALA. Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale as follows:—We had a small entry' of sheep comprising a good line of fat ewes, which realised the satisfactory price of 335.
