The New Zealand Employers’ Federation, which ha'sHidd a conference in Wellington for the purpose of considering the best means for promoting industrial peace, lias adopted a series of resolutions which must commend themselves to all right-thinking people. Another commendable suggestion is that earnest consideration should be given-to the adoption of a system of payment by results, either by means of piecework, premium op bonus system, of profit-sharing and sup-, erannuation funds, as may be best applicable to each particular business. The resolutions which the Employers’ Federation have passed demonstrate very dearly tluU the employers desire industrial peace- and are anxious by every means to'bring'this about.
