MASTERTON. Mr W. Hood reports for yesterday:— Bright sunshine, nil. Temperature: Maximum 56.4 deg., minimum . 47deg., terres. 40deg. Rainfall, 33 points. SOLWAY. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 3!) points of rain were registered at Solway for . the 24 hours up till 9 o'eloek this morning. The Rev. D. C. Bates reports f« r the twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. this day as follows: — The indications are for south-easter-ly winds, strong to gale. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers flooded. The bardmeter has a falling- tendency, but rising after about 16 lioufs.
