ENTERTAINMENTS.

PARAMOUNT THEATRE. TWO GOOD FEATURES. To-night will see the final screening of the current programme at the Paramount Theatre, whore the six-act Jewel feature, “The Doctor and the Woman” is being shown. You can tool the public some of the time, you can fool some of the public all the time, but you can’t fool all of the public all of the time. That is the keynote of the new World Film social drama, “The Bluffer,” starring June Divulge in a great role. As Sybil Van Norden, daughter of a millionaire, who really hadn’t a cent, but carried on by pure bluff and credit, she resolves on discov--1 ering that the choice is between carrying on her father’s bluff and poverty, t o °“out-bluff them all,” and she does, it, up to the point, and then comes the slow down. There are several big moments in the play when those in front of the screen get the edge of the precipice feeling up their backs, and it isn’t all hypocrisy and social villainy either, for the play has a romantic ending that puts the bluffer on excellent terms with the spectators. COSY THEATRE. , “WHY I WOULD NOT MARRY.” The sheer veil of marriage is torn away with a bang in the William I 1 ox porduction, “Why I Would Not Marry, which opened at the Cosy Theatre on Saturday. The play deals with a really beautiful young girl who cannot decide which of four suitors to accept. In her dilemma an Indian scientist comes to her assistance and allows her to look into the Mystic Globe, where she sees, the future. What is displayed robs her of all desire to be married. With her father she leaves the city to begin life anew in a small town. Here she meets the man who finally lights the pathway to ahppiness. In order to get him, however, the girl proposes. A ripping good Sunshine comedy and other good films ar.e being shown in support. There will be a matinee to-morrow afternoon at 2.30.
