ANZAC CONCERT.

ON MONDAY NEXT. The work of the Wairarapa. Returned Soldiers’ Association in watching the interests of the returned soldiers and liis dependents is widely 7 known in this district, and the facte, that funds are needed to carry 7 on-the work lias led the Association to organise a grand concert, to be hold in the Opera House on Mqnday next, ,26th inst. The best available local and outside talent has been secured, including Mr Culford Bell, of Wellington, one of New 7 Zealand’s leading elocutionists,, and Mr A. H. Medhurst, principal bass soloist, Christchurch Choral Union,' and late professional ;bass soloist, Wellington Orchestral Society. Mr Bell is well known to concert-goers, aud a treat -is in store for the public of _ Masterton. Jlv Medhurst will make his first appearance before Mastertonians, and his rich bass voice w 7 ill surprise those who have not heard, him. . This is tho first appeal the returned soldiers have made to the public, and it is hoped that the public will show 7 their appreciation pf the* w 7 ork of the soldiers by 7 . substantially supporting the concert. Seats may 7 bo reserved at Mr J. Henderson, bookseller, Masterton.
