IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS

HOKITIKA, This Day.
Important developments regarding hiydro-electlric power fji-om Toaroha Valley, Kokat-ahi district, are likely to eventuate in connection with a large mining enterprise on Rimu Flat, where a strong American company is taking up dredging.
The suggestion is that the machinery snail be worked by electric power generated from the Toarahe line, which will traverse a large agricultural district. The enterprise is looked upon here with great satisfaction.
Other important mining developments north of the Teremakau district are also on the tapis*.
