Freeman presented Fireman CCole, on behalf of the members, with an oak clock, suitably eugraved, to mark the occasion of hi* recent wedding. , ExSuperintendent T. Jenkins referred in. eulogistic terms to the work Firemaa Cole had done on behalf of the brigade, i It is our sad duty to record the death, last evening, of Miss Grace Gordon,. the youngest daughter of/.th<s late Mr Peter and Mrs Gordcgyifl? South roa&j Masterton. Deceased had borne a seal ous illness of several nWiths-' durations with the greatest fortitude. Of a bright disposition and charming personality, Miss Gordon made many friends, who will learn with the deepest regret of her death. A few year* ago she was 'a prominent Wairarapa hockey player, and was very popular. with those she played with. Widespread . sympathy will be extended to the relatives in their sad bereavement. The funeral will leave the ersidenee of Mrar Gordon, South road, to-morrow afternoon, at 2 o 'clock, for the Masterton. cemetery.
