OUTRAGEOUS DEMAND.
OF WATERSIDE WORKERS,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Saturday. The Karori is dry from end to end, and present appearances indicate that the damage to the hull is between the stokehold bulkhead and the after-en-gine-room bulkhead. A diver is examining the ship this afternoon. The watersiders refused the Union Company's offer of 3s per hour for day work and 5s per hour overtime for working the cargo. They demand Ts 6d an hour for day work and 10s per hour for overtime.
