MR SYKES' CANDIDATURE.
Mr G. R. Sykes, M.P., addressed the ♦Sleetora at Hastwell on Friday evenang last, and despite the bad weather so._ditions the attendance was good. .Mr Crockenden was in the chair. In _tis remarks, the chairman said that■he•was confident that he was expressing tithe sentiments of the country people ■generally when he stated that Mr Sykes would be returned as our Parliamentary representative. At the conclusion of his address many questions were asked of Mr Sykes, all of which were satisfactorily replied to.
