PAHIATUA CATTLE FAIR.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their annual spring cattlo fair at Pahiatua on Thursday, when they offered a very large yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Although tho cattle market is in a depressed state at present, vendors met the market, and'a large proportion of the yarding changed hands at prices which must be considcrc dsatisfactory. Following are the prices realised: — Poor conditioned 2-year steers, £5 15s to £7; 2-year P.A. steers, £9 16s to £9 17s 6(1; 4-year bullocks, £13 14s; empty cows, £7 6s; mixed sex yearlings, £4 2s Cd, £4 9s to £5 Is.
