PUBLICAN FINED £5. The Magistrate gave his decision yesterday afternoon in the case in which Robert Morrison, licensee of the Whakatitki Hotel, was charged with exposing liquor for sale and with keeping licensed premises open during prohibited hours. In giving judgment, Mr W. Kerr, S.M., said that in the circumstances he must accept the testimony of Constable Brown that, liquor was illegally consumed on the Sunday night in question, and two bottles of beer disposed of to a. person who was not a. boarder. 'Morrison would be convicted and fined £5 and costs. The second charge was withdrawn by the police.
