DANNEVIRKE A. AMD P. ASSOCIATION.
It is the many little improvements
which have been made on the Dannevirko A. and P. Society's show grounds at Mangatera which will play an important part in the success which it is confidently anticipated will be achieved this wek, on Wednesday and Thursday
(People's Day). The luncheon room's under the grandstand and the lavatories have been asphalted under foot, and other measures taken to minimise the dust, nuisance should it be windy. Tho holding paddocks for stock have been subdivided, and water laid on to each, an abundance of green food has been ; secured at considerable expense from i Woodville for the show stock, and at- ' tent-ion has been given to other impurt- ; ant matters and innumerable details in ! a manner which 'should leave no cause for complaint. The display in all
stock classes promises to be particular
]y fine, while the other branches of the show, especially the competitions,
should provide many attractions for the public. The ever popular jumping events this year have attracted com-
petitors of high-class calibre, and excellent leaping should be seen. Side shows will be numerous and unique, so that all the essentials for success will be in evidence.
