MASTERTON STOCK SALES.

WAIPOUA YARDS. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Waipoua sale yards yesterday. A good yarding of 1500 sheep and 280 head of cattle came forward, and was offered to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was vmy keen throughout the sale, and all the sheep, With the exception of 75 old ewes, sold at auction, and practically uil tne cattle changed hands. The following prices were realised: —Pat wethers, 20s; fat ewes, IGs lid, 17s, to 17s 3d; forward store ewes, 12s; f.m. ewes, 12s 2d to 12s 4d; poor condition ewes, 8s Gd; G, 8, ynd 1.111. owes (low condition), Us 2d: b.f. lambs, good, 9s lid; medium, 7s Id to 7s 3d; woolly lambs, good, 9s 2d; medium, 7s 3d, 7s.Bd to 7s lid; culls, 4s Gd; shorn lambs, 7s lOd; small, 4s 2d; small 2-tooffh wethers, 9s 2d; fat cows, £5 15s to £6 10s; fat heifers, £5 10s to £6 Us; forward heifers, £4 10s; forward store cows, £4 9s Gd to £4 10s; cows and calves, £4 2s to £4Gs; 2yr steers, £5 Ss (id; yearling steers, £2 12s; steer calves, 2-35.~" We sold on account of the Belgian Relief Fund 10 fat ewes at His lid each, donated by Neil McKay, Esq., Langdale, and one pet iamb, donated by Mr T. li. Allen's children, which realised £3 10s, after being sold several times. The total for the day was £11 19s 2d.
