LONDON, Wednesday. The Daily Chronicle (Liberal) says that Mr Asquith's declaration has created perturbation among the Nationalists, without propitiating the Opposition, and has imparted no inspiriting effect on the Government supporters. '' The declaration was a strategic mistake in the present stage, ,, adds! the
Chronicle. The Morning Post (Unionist) observes that many Unionists will regard the Government's new move as a device to gain time. They do not believe that a eettlement is now possible.
