WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Management Committee was held last evening. Mr Hughes occupied the chair, and there was" a full attendance of delegates.
The application of the Dalelicld Club to enter a junior team was granted, and the junior fixtures wore redrawn accordingly. The Featherston Club wen 4 granted permission to enter ato am in the senior contest, and it was arranged for them to take up the bye as originally drawn. Tt was decided to endeavour to arrange for the senior representative team to tour about the middle of July, playing their matches for the "Challenge Shield" against Auckland and against Waikato for the " Nor don Cup" en route. Mr A. C. Pragnell was unanimously re.-appointed sole .selector for the senior grade. The matter of appointed a junior selection committee was held over until next meeting. Lengthy correspondence was read, that had passed between Mr Agar, of Christchurch, and the Secretary, and after discussion it was decided that the President should write to Mr Agar and inform him that the Association has every confidence in its Secretary, and quite justifies the Secretary's action in writing to Mr Agar as he did. The Nelson Hockey Association wrote asking if Wairarapa would change places with them in the order of playing the Nordon Cup matches. It was decided to apply to the N.Z.H.A. for tho change to be allowed.
The following team will represent the Excelsior Seniors against Dalefield at Cartcrton to-morrow:—Barr Williams, Lawrence, Scrimgeour, Walker, Pragncll, Wilson, Vile, Williams, Hatch and Smith. The motor lorry will leave at 1.45 o'clock. Thfe following team will represent Excelsior juniors against P. and T. on Thursday next, at Lansdowne: — Morris, Wy th, King, Davis, Miller, Williams, Livingstone, Graham, Thomas, McKenna, Pragnell. The following players will represent P. and T. juniors against Excelsiors at Lansdowne to-morrow:— Evernden, Brunton, Devonport, McMichael, Miller, Chesterman, Hanley, Hoffeins, Kennody, Shaw and Hartmann. Emergencies: Moore, Wellington and Dixon.
