SENSOR CADETS.

INSPECTION BY SIR lAN HAMIL TON. General Sir lan Hamilton will arrive by the 11.40 a.m. train from Featherston on Monday, the '25th inst. The General will be accompanied by General Godloy, Brigadier-General Ellison, and Major Ashmore, and two staff officers of 'General Godley's staff, the officer commanding the Wellington Military District (Colonel B. W. C. Chaytor), and Major A. C. Tcmperlcy. The General and Staff will bo entertained at luncheon by the Mayor and Councillors of Masterton. The cadets will arrive by a special train leaving Woodville at S a.m., stopping at stations along the line to pick up" cadets. This train will arrive at Masterton nt 11.20 a.m. The cadets from Martin borough, Fcatherstou, Greytown and Oarterton will travel by the 5.: , ..'! a.m. train from Featherston. All cadets, when they arrive in Masterton, will march to the Drill Hall, where lunch will be provided. The cadets will be inspected at. 2.30 p.m. at the old showgrounds, and will lie drawn up us a battalion in line, in the following order from right to left:— No. 77 Company, Woodville; strength 49, 0.C., Lieut.' A. J. Webber; No. 78 Company, Pahiatua, strength 70, Captain c/e. Clifton; No. 79 Company, Pahiatua. strength 76, Lieut. H. Drew; No. SI Company, Eketahuna, strength 74, Lieut. H. E. McKinuon; Nos.S2, S3, and S5 Companies, Masterton, strength 69, Lieut. E. H. Sharp; No. S4 Company, Masterton, strength SG, Lieut. J. W. Andrews; No. 86 Company, Carterton, strength 100, Lieut. F. W. Boydhouse; No. 87 Company, Greytown, strength 110, Lieut. G. J. Goldsman; Featherston; Martinborough; No. SS Company, Clareville, strength 24; No. 113 Company, Masterton, strength 51. The Band of the 17th (Euahine) Regiment will be in attendance. Captain G. W. Braddell, N.Z.S. Corps, will be in command, with Captain P. W. Skelley as Adjutant, and Major P. E. Cook, N.Z.M. Corps, as medical oflicer. The parade, which will be a ceremonial one. will be drawn up in review order (in line), facing the saluting point, which will be just in front of the centre of the grandstand. ;»nd Avill be distinguished by a Union Jack. The Inspector-General will be received on arrival with the general salute, after which he will inspect the cadets, commencing on the right of the front rank, and returning along the rear rank. The Battalion will bo moved round to the end of the saluting base near the entrance, and will be formed in quarter column, that is, one Company behind the other.

The Companies will then march past the General in column, under the Company commanders. The Battalion will be halted in quarter column again at the opposite end of the saluting base, and be turned about, when they will bo marched past again in quarter column under the Battalion commander.

The Battalion will then be marched back to the first position they occupied in line, and will be ordered to advance in review order. The advance will be made to within thirty paces of the General, and the "general salute," "present arms," will again be given.

General Hamilton will then present the challenge cups, known as the Mrs Godley's Cups, one to each Company, to be competed for at the annual musketry course. The Masterton Cadets will parade at the Drill.Hall at 1 p.m. sharp, and the whole Battalion, headed by the Band, will march to the old showgrounds. It is requested that employers who have cadets working for them would kindly allow them to get away as early as possible to enable them to parade punctually at 1 o'clock. The parade is a compulsory one. No leave will be granted only under exceptional circumstances.
