THE LIBERAL "POLICY."

Sir .Joseph Ward is reported to have made the statement, at Auckland that "he would be, at this stage, an infernal ass to give the Reformers policy measures to steal. " lie has made this statement before, but he surely does not expect the electors to take it seriously. Last, night Mr Fisher, in referrcing to this statement, said: "One minute the Leader of the Opposition says we have no policy,'then he says we have stolen his, and next he says he has his policy up his sleeve. He is like a man going about without any clothes on for fear someone will steal them." If the Liberal party possess a policy it is time they announced the fact. At the present timo the members of the party are very busy endeavouring to pull Mr Massey's policy to pieces, but they offer nothing as a substitute. Sir Joseph must be a conjuror indeed if he has had his policy stolen but still has it "up his sleeve. "
