Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Wednesday, at 8.10 a.m.) BERLIN, Tuesday. According to the Weser Zeitung, the Kaiser's daughter has become such an ardent partisan of the Guelph cause that the Kaiser has summoned a family conference to see what can bo done. It was understood that the recent marriage meant the disappearance of the Guelph cause, and that the Brunswick succession would be settled favourably as a concession by the Kaiser.
The Kingdom of Hanover, the throne of which was in the Guelph line, sided with Austria in the war of 1866. It was occupied by Eussia, and finally incorporated in the German Empire. The King of Hanover was banished, but maintained his claim to the throne. On his death in 18S4 the succession passed to his'son, the. Duke of Cumberland, between whom and the Kaiser a reconciliation was effected some months ago, as a result of which a marriage was arranged, and recently took place, between the Kaiser's daughter and the son of the Duke.
