Following is a summary of the busiiiohh transacted in Parliament yester day:— / LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Tho Beform Bill. After a lengthy debate on the question the Council decided to go into Committee on the ; Legislative Council Bill, and progress was reported. HOUSE OP BEPBESENTATIVES. Auckland Exhibition. In reply to a question, the Prime Minister stated that if the session had not come to an end by December Ist he would ask Parliament to adjourn for a week in order that members might attend the Exhibition. Eoyd Garlick Committee. *G4 The Eoyd Garlick Committee wasefc granted a week's extension of (from Thursday last) in which to pre- . sent their report to the House. Land Tax. The Land Tax and Income Tax Bill was read a third time. Land and Income. The Land and Income Assessment Amendment Bill passed the third reading after a four hours' debate. Legislative Amendment. The Legislative Amendment Bill .was. read a second time on the voices. ; Bills Reported. The New Zealand Institute of Architects Bill and the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Bill were reported from Committee, with minor amendments .
