THE EXTRAORDINARY FUNCTION.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —A handbill was put under my door late last evening, giving particulars of the "extraordinary function" which is to be held in Knox Hall tomorrow. One difficulty will be that nice girls will not care to go without a chaperon, and a programme in which only men figure is not likely to be attractive .

However, let us hope that they will make the money required, and also that all the grandfathers in the district will take their little grand-daughters and yive them plenty to spend. —I am, etc., A CHAPERON. JMiistorton. February 12, 10].1.
