WAIRARAPA PRESBYTERY
The Wairarapa Presbytery met on Tuesday, there being" present, —Rev.. .1. S. Young (moderator), E. C. Tennent, Bawdeii-Harris, D. Thompson, A. T. Thompson, Kattray, Ralph; Messrs H. T. Wood, J. Bruce, and M. McGregor. The Presbytery welcomed the Rev. J. Patersoii. The date fixed for the visit of Dr. Kirk, missionary from Canton, was deemed unsuitable, and the clerk was instructed to apply for another date. A commission of the Presbytery, consisting of the Rev. E. C. Tennent, B&wden Harris, A. T. Thompson and elders, was; appointed to go to Pongaroa next week to consult with the secsion there. An application from Mr Lendrick McMaster, of Masterton, to be received on tho home mission stuff, was heartily received, and it was decided to recommend the application to the Church Extension Committee. The visit to the Presbytery of Mr Fraser Barton, agent of the Youth of the Church Committee, was announced from February 16th till the beginning of March.
