The Evening News has opened a fund for the benefit of the relatives of the Antarctic heroes. A subscrption list circulated on the show grounds met with a ready response, Mr James Armstrong heading it with £20. The News suggests that funds collected in various parts should be amalgamated and regarded as a national memorial to the saeredness of home ties.
