The Maori Teuuis Tournament will be hebl in Palmerstou North on the 28th of this mouth. The Hon. J. A. Millar had a somewhat unique experience whon leaving the Masterton railway station yesterday. A newly-married couple were leaving at the same time, pursued by a number uf friends armed with a plentiful supply of rice. As the porter was opening the door of the Minister's private carriage, tho couple hurried in, followed by showers of rice, which sproad itself over the floor, and some of which, alas! fell ou the head of the Minister. The latter was evidently amused, while the couple, ou discovering their error, left as hurriedly as they had entered.
