OPAKI QUOITS CLUB.

The usual mouthly competitions of the Opaki Quoits Club took place on Saturday at Mr Searle's grounds, Te Mara. The attendance was well up to the average, ami some good play was indulged in. In the men's class 16 entered for the monthly match, which was won by A. Searle. with S. Taukersley second aud T. Chamberlain third. Iv- the final for Mr Douglas's trophy, A. Reader proved the winner with E. Petersen second.
Thirteenladies entered for Miss E. Petersen's trophy, which was wou by Miss Foreman, " with Mrs R. Huut second.
At the afternoon adjournment; Mr Nicholson, in a few complimentary remarks, presented a trophy won at a previous competition, and donated by Mr A. Reader, to Miss Foreman. Mr Nicholson, on behalf of the Men's Club, also thanked the ladies for supplying afternoon tea.
