The Borough Couucil, last evening, accepted an offer from Mr G. LaiugMeason to furnish Mastertou with a report on the water supply question, and also on drainage extension. Subsequently, we understand, that Cr Ewiugtou has lodged a notice to rescind this resolution. The responsibility of any delay, which may now occur in improving the Borough water supply aud inexteudiug drainage, rests upou the shoulders of Cr Ewiugtou. The ratepayers will probably soon get sick of these obstructive tactics, which may become a serious menace to the health and prosperity of the town.
