WEDDING.
St. Matthew's Church was filled with ladies yesterday afternoon, when one of Masterton's most popular young ladies, Miss Edith Peterson, second daughter of Mr H. Peterson, of Master ton, was married to Constable Herbert Egan, only son of Mr E. Egau, also of Masterton. The bride looked very sweet in a beautiful dress of cream lustre, and she wore a silk hat trimmed with cream silk ribbon. She was attended by Miss Nellie Hogg, who was attired in a pink muslin dress, with hat to match. The bride was given away hy her father, Mr Will Irons acting as best man. Mrs Hunn, sister of the bride, presided at the organ, and played the Bridal March from Lohengrin as the couple left the church. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's parents, which was attended by numerous relatives and friends. The couple received a large number of valuable presents. The honeymoon is to be spent at Pahnerston North, after which Mr and Mrs Egan proceed to Wellington en route to Blackball, to which station the bridegroom has recently been transferred.
