RIFLE SHOOTING.

The Rongomai Rifle Club opened the season on their range on Thursday, 11th inst., with a match Captain's team v. Secretary's team, which resulted in a win for the Captain's team by 21 points, the ranges were 200 and 500 yards. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent, refreshments being dispensed by the ladies. are the scores :—
Captain's Team : —S. Marenzi, 60 : Capt. Bright, 49 ; V. J. Hill, 42 ; J. Thomasen and T.Edwards, 40; F. C. Tumor, 37; II Fredericksen, 36. Total, 304.
Secretary's Team :—Petersen. 50; A. Syversen, 11 ; J. Quinn, 40 ; Olsen, -10 ; N Nelson, 39; J. J. Thomasen, 37 ;A. J. Bray, 36. Total, 283.
