Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: —At Palmerston, on Thursday, we had a larger yarding of cattle than usual, over one thousand head being offered. There was a good attendance, and a number of outside buyers were present, one buyer alone taking about three hundred head. With thegfc ception of a few pens of springing heiSp and low-conditioned yearlings, very little was left unsold at the end of the day. An average yarding of sheep came forward. Ewes and lambs made 21s 7d ; f_c ewes, 18s lid; forward wethers, 19s Od ; good hoggets, 15s 3d ; cull hoggets, 8s 6d to lis 6d; shorn two-tooths, lis; forward bullocks, £5 10s ; three-year bullocks. £1 5s to £5 3s ; two-year bullocks, £3 12s Gil to £3 10s ; yearling steers. 26s to 32s ; yearling heifers, 16s to 21s; weaners, 10.. to 12s Gd; fat cows, £1. 2s Gd to £1 15s; store cows, 25s to £2 2s; springing heifers. £3 to £0 : heifers in calf, £2 to £2 10s.
