CORRESPONDENCE.
The Queen=street Nuisance.
[to the editor.l
Sir, —I do not Avonder that ladies object to use the footpath in proximity to those recently-erected eye-sores in Queen and Perry-streets. The night before last, I a. as passing the Post Office, Avhen I heard loud talking and very objectionable language in the vicinity. Two men were inside the "shrine" in that locality—l do not know any better term to apply,—and two of their mates were outside. All Avere under the influence of liquor, and both behaviour and language were most unseemly. I hope, before long, public opinion will assert itself, with the result that the " shrines" Avill have to " move on." As the Wairarapa. Daily Times has pointed out more than once, our City Fathers have tried to do the right thing—but ha\*e gone about it the wrong way. I trust, before long, that they will do the right thing, in the right way.—l am, etc., Bona Fide.
