The Garden Fete, held on Carrington House ground, on Thursday afternoon, proved an attraction for a large number of people. Side shows, and other amusements of different kinds, were the order of the afternoon. Tho proceeds are to be devoted to tho funds of St. Mark's Church.

On Wednesday evening last I3ro. Alex. Ramsay was installed Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge, here.

The boys of the State School have presented Mr C. N. Haslam with a case of pipes, a silver match-box, tobacco pouch and a razor, as a mark of their esteem. »
