Found Guilty of Larceny

Melbourne, This Day,

At the Quarter Sessions, William Millard, Member of the Legislative Assembly (representing The Clyde), was found guilty of the larceny of five pounds, the property of a client. Accused disclaimed any fraudulent intent, and declared the prosecution was the outcome of political spite.

He has been remanded for sentence.
