Arrest of a Suspect

Sydney, Last Night,

A sensational development has taken place in regard to the Stanford Mine fire, a labourer named Charles Libeck, employed in the colliery, having been arrested on charge of having maliciously set the mine on fire. When confronted by witnesses who alleged that he had told them he was in the colliery shortly before the fire, Libeck denied it, and said he was drunk in bed throughout the night of the outbreak.
