THE CARTERTON SHOW.

The event of the year for the Wairarapa district is close at hand. Should the fine weather continue, the Wairarapa Show promises to excel all previous ones, entries being much larger—particularly in horses and competitions on both days. Side-shows promise to be a great attraction, various companies from Australia—never seen in New Zealand before —having secured ground, the ever-welcome merry-go-round, the tall lady, and the circus being among them. Inside the Agricultural Hall are the usual splendid exhibits of produce, butter and bread exhibitors being a record for the Society."; Gold-wire workers and' glass engravers have found space in the hall; and are only a portion of the interesting exhibits found there.
